I have always had a particular soft spot for all things animal care. As a child, it wasn’t unusual for my parents to find me ushering worms back into the soil after a summer rain shower or scavenging for a box and tissue to create a proper hospital for an injured bird. It only made sense that I pursue a career in veterinary medicine, where I could apply my affection for animals and my commitment to bettering their lives and the lives of the people who love them.
With over 20 years of experience as a veterinary nurse, predominantly in emergency and critical care, I began to wonder how else I could assist animals and their people. In emergency medicine, clients often struggle to know what to do next; they want to make the best decisions for their beloved pets and frequently wish for clarity that could only come through enhanced pet communication and guidance.
I picked up my first Tarot deck in 1996, after seeing The Craft (fellow Elder Millennials, you hear me lol)! At that time, my Tarot practice was more of a hobby than a profession, but that deck ignited a life-long relationship with Tarot—a relationship I have been growing, studying, and nurturing for thirty years. I view Tarot for pets as a means to connect us with our unconscious knowledge and strengthen our deep connections. In my practice, I utilize insights from Tarot readings as a guiding tool of reflection to support you (and your pet!) through your journey and to help you connect your consciousness to the infinite wisdom of the Universe.
As the Queen of Pups, I extend my practice to my personal life as well, where I love, spoil, and care for a tall dog (Sol the Doberman), a small one (Pearl the Chihuahua), and a feline chonkette (Stink the cat). In addition to being a Tarot reader and veterinary nurse, I’m also a momma (to a human kiddo as well!), a Sapphic on the LGBTQ+ spectrum, a soon-to-be wifey, a runner, a reader, and an artist.
Queen of Pups is a safe and inclusive space for everyone, celebrating every ability, ethnicity, gender, race, and sexuality.
